Dear Jensen’s Shopper, We want to take this opportunity to thank you for choosing Jensen’s as your local grocer. We know that you have many options to choose from and we are honored that you have selected us to serve your grocery needs.
With the recent developments of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and the challenging and uncertain times ahead, we feel that it is important to let you know that we are committed to the health and safety of both our team members, valued customers and vendors alike. Recently we have reviewed our sanitation standards and have implemented additional measures designed to improve upon the high standards that we already subscribe to. Our goal is to provide you with the highest quality goods and service in a clean, sanitary and safe shopping environment. In order to accomplish this we are:
Sanitizing surfaces such as check stands, card readers, touch screens and countertops continually throughout the day.
Posting signs throughout the store, departments and restrooms promoting proper handwashing technique as outlined by the CDC.
Sourcing and placing additional sanitizing wipe and gel stations.
Suspending all product sampling, tastings and demonstrations in our stores.
Prohibiting the use of customer reusable cups and containers in our service departments.
Working with our vendors to procure and supply key products.
Insisting sick employees remain home and utilize the company provided sick leave.
Actively listening and following Federal, State and Local guidelines as they pertain to public health and safety in our industry.
While many health and wellness items are limited or not available due to the increased demand, rest assured that our buyers are working hard to source these items as well as other alternatives. If you are unable to find an item please ask one of our team members. As the industry is experiencing unprecedented demand for these items we greatly appreciate your patience and understanding.
Additionally, we are asking for your support in helping us maintain a safe and healthy environment at our stores and in our community. If you are feeling ill, please stay home and ask a friend or relative to shop for you. While in our stores, feel free to use our restrooms and wash your hands as needed, and don’t forget to sanitize your cart handle with our cart wipes.
While our efforts are not limited to these steps alone, we are working diligently to provide you a clean and safe shopping experience. For 80 years Jensen’s have been your local hometown grocer and we will continue to be here when you need us most. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to serve you.
